A4 black-and-white PDF printing: a preflight checklist

Confirm A4 is acceptable

Night Print uses A4 paper. Check the requirements of the person or organisation receiving the document before ordering. If they specify a different paper size, do not assume A4 will be accepted. Preview the PDF on the intended page size and look for clipped edges or content close to the margins.

Check information that depends on colour

All output is black and white. A chart that distinguishes categories only by colour may become hard to interpret. Before exporting, add labels or patterns where needed, and check that pale text is readable. A grayscale preview can reveal problems before you pay for the order.

Count physical pages

Printing is single-sided, so each PDF page becomes one printed side on one sheet. Check for blank pages, repeated pages and unwanted appendices. Night Print accepts at most 80 pages across one to five PDFs. Ten pages cost $10 CAD; thirty pages cost $20 CAD under the published pricing.

Open the final file, not just the source

A document can look correct in its editor but change during PDF export. Reopen the exact file you plan to upload. Check text, symbols, orientation and page sequence. Password-protected, corrupted or unreadable PDFs cannot be printed.

Keep the order and pickup details together

After submitting, keep the NP code and the Telegram conversation available. The operator uses that order context if a payment or file needs review. Wait for the ready notification before travelling to the North York address.
